Can you help me break this vicious cycle?
I'm 20, I have meniere's disease
which means constant tinnitus/dizziness/hearing loss/brain fog
all that + stress = lack of sleep
-> more brain fog the next day
-> can't sleep again
-> brain fog gets worse
-> months speed by like this, then an entire year
-> depression, can't think straight, no energy or social life
-> lack of motivation

-> falling behind at university, losing hope, feel like i could die and it would barely matter (but not suicidal), desperate to start over but can't even think straight

If you have a disease you probably need medication or therapy. I am sorry you are going through these things. But this seriously does sound like you need some help other than advice that people could give you on here. It sounds horrible, are you not taking anything medication for this? What about counseling? Sometimes you can find free clinics in your area that might be able to help. Why can't you see a psychologist? You need to reach out for some kind of help, even if you already have. You know most universities have some kind of counselor or therapist at the school that is there just to help students. Even if you just talk to them, that could help. Find out what your school offers, I think it might be free if money is an issue. Well I really hope you can be feeling better. You deserve to feel clear and have lots of rest and be happy and motivated. Don't stop until you get the help you deserve.
