Has anybody found juice fasts,effective for weight loss?
I know Katie Price aka Jordan and other celebs swear by them. I just wondered what experiences non-celebs without armies of personal trainers have had?
I have a juicer,and was planning to juice my own veg, not so much fruit.And certainly not store bought juices.I have researched the diet.Just want to hear from people who have done this ,nothing else.
I took in only fruit and vegatables from a juicer for 4 days and water. I lost 10lbs and have gained back 3lbs since. The most valuable thing is it resets your body to enjoy healthy food afterward. You will look forward to an egg white omlette w/ veggies and brown rice and grilled squash. I had very little sick or hungry feelings. I drank a juice of mostly greens,celery,squash,cactus and tomatoes. It tasted disgusting but I felt supercharged with vitamins and good stuff. It really breaks your addiction to junk food and caffiene or alcohol. I suggest you plan a diet to go directly into after come off the fast. Also take it easy eating with fruits and bland foods the day you quit. I had a great experience and wish I could do it more often. I didn't have any problem staying on the juice and probably could have gone longer. I do suggest you buy a juicer for it to work. I don't think any store bought juices would work. If no juicer just eat raw fruits and veggies for a few days. I have a lot of weight to lose and think it would be too much for your system if you only have 5 or 10lbs to lose. Do reaseach on line there are some good references. I went directly into the Fat Smash/ Marcobiotic with egg whites and chicken breast after my juice fast. If you plan to go back to eating unhealthy or not as a beginning to a lifestyle change you probably are wasting your time.
