Weight loss fasting questions?

For ten days I plans to alternate by every other day, between only cranberry juice and water.
I did research it but never found out if doing this could make me gain weight.

How do you find motivation for weight loss. I don't think I can do it?

Every time I try it I give up. I can't stand being tired and my legs/feet hurting.

Take your time. Every one says "consume less and workout more". This is wrong. The key is EATING HEALTHY. Start slowly and begin turning your eating habits into a lifestyle. The first thing I did was eliminate fried food from my diet )yes, this includes potato chips). I had a couple of slip ups, but overall I have been fried food free for over a month. The next thing, eliminate pop and other sugary beverages. Drink water instead. If you want something sweeter drink gatorade. It is not as sugary and has some good electrolytes. Consume more fruit. Fruit is high in fiber and vitamins and low in calories and fat. Lastly, start replacing livestock meats with fish. Fish, especially tuna and salmon, are very high in vitamins and nutrients and put livestock meats to shame. Take your time with these changes. If you rush it, you will stress you and your body out and more likely than not fail. You will notice that as your diet changes, so will your tastes. If I drank a can of pop right now, I would feel sickly due to the sweetness of it. I now crave no more bad food and consume only good things. Good food is good for the soul. Oh yeah, eggs are essential for weightloss. They have MULTIPLE benefits and are ultimately a super food due to there high protein/low fat content.

Weight loss and Metformin?

ok, so i have pcos, those of you who have this awful syndrome as well knows that it increases your weight significantly. I am only 16, im gonna be a senior in high school next year. in the past 7-8 months i have changed my habits completely. I have always been somewhat of an active person, but i cut out fast food and pop, i work out regularly at the gym, cardio, weights, etc. I still have not lost any weight, in fact i gained 8 pounds. What's an effective weight loss program for people who face challenges? ?

I am sixteen years old and weigh more than I care to say (well over 150). I am about 5' 7" or 8". I have hypothyroidism, endometriosis, and PCOS. I already eat a minimal amount of sugar (that includes only diet soda, no white bread,etc.) and I exercise a little less than I should, but I am going to start up an aerobics class. I did the Slimfast diet for a while, so I went to Slimfast online. It was so great that I continued using it, even as I went off the Slimfast and did my own diet. You have diet buddies who you share successes and downfalls with; it was a great support system for me. There's also a lot of useful tools there. You can record your weight using a chart, record what you've eaten....lots of other stuff. I used it for about a year; you might check it out.

Can someone let me know what I should be doing at the gym (how much strength training, interval training, cardio) should I do each week to maximize weight loss?

It's not that complicated.

Your body is the physical result of adaptations to environment and demands.

It will become the result of adaptations to changes to the environment and demands (which includes habits of activity, nutrition, and rest).

Those are the three components:

activity, nutrition, and rest (repair of wear and removal of stress)

Make a plan - ANY PLAN - that includes about an hour of energetic activity every day. Doesn't matter what, as long as it's energetic / vigorous. You want to experience MILD discomfort, as that's THE signal that you're triggering adaptation.

Comfort = keeping things the same or getting fatter. Too much discomfort is also bad, though - may cause injury or excessive soreness which can make you avoid exercise.

You only need ONE hour of MILD discomforting (exerting) activity per day to pay TWENTY THREE hours of dividends in feeling more energetic and becoming thinner.

For nutrition, remember that the stomach (organ) is only the size of your fist - and that although it CAN stretch, there are no modern-world reasons for it to do that. Portion to your fist - maybe and a half. Then, do a quick stretch of OTHER muscles just prior to meals so you keep a stretching sensation where it belongs.

Processed food is fat-and-diabetic-making stuff. Select the less-processed foods, especially the grains, cereals, starches. Add lots of fiber to the diet, and keep the portions to the fist. You'll eat more times a day and that's good, too.

Lay off the alcohol.

Make sure the rest is good-quality, and spend at least 30 minutes of quality, alone, quiet time each day, just letting the mind know it has nothing to do at that time, but rest.

Activity; Nutrition; Rest

Whatever your plan, put it on PAPER and STICK to it.

In 6 weeks, notice what changes you've created - and re-work the plan, based on knowing the body is designed to adapt to whatever environment and demands you give it.

Create environmental and demand changes and go another 6 weeks, sticking to that new plan.

Over time, you'll learn what works best for YOU - and you'll become the master of your personal domain.

fruit for weight loss...what fruit is okay to eat?

i know that some fruits are better than others for weight loss..what ones are the better ones to eat?is pineapple okay when trying to lose weight?

Most of them are pretty good, but your best bet is vegetables. Have a good mix of both and maybe just limit your intake of avocado, it is full of oils- they are really good for you so do have it a bit but just not the best thing to be eating bucket loads of if you are trying to lose weight. And some people limit bananas as well but they are not that bad so you shouldn't worry too much about them.

Make sure you vary your fruit intake also, so you are getting all the vitamins you need.
