Want to lose weight and also tone up your legs? I can't think of anything better than rope skipping. You probably did this with your friends just a few short years ago. Please watch the video below. Rope skipping is fun, burns a lot of calories, and helps people build, leanly muscled torsos.
As far as your diet is concerned, focus on fresh fruits and vegetables, lean meats and fish, low-fat dairy products, especially yogurt. Yogurt has been shown to really help with weight control.

What is the best weight loss regimen for age 20/female?
I need to lose 100 pounds. My goal weight is 120 pounds and I weigh 220 lbs. It is really depressing. I don't know if I even have much muscle mass. I am thinking about trying a juice fast. I'm going to be moving out of my parent's house soon and I need to look and feel my best. I am worried that I will become unhealthy if I continue gaining weight.
I feel your pain I was also 220 lbs. I did slim fast at first and counted calories, I lost my first 25 lbs. Then I Incorporated workouts and lost 25 more lbs. Now I am 170 I still have about 45 more lbs left to go.
Now I eat in moderation trying to eat 5 small meals a day making sure to eat bananas in the morning. (the potassium in them helps relieve sore muscles so you especially need them when working out)
My workout routine consists of Bob's Biggest loser boot camp
and Tae Bo Boot camp elite or Amped.( I do both with about 3-5lbs added weight) I usually do this for 4-5x a week. I also have 2 line dancing classes during the week for about 1-2 hrs.
You don't want to try quick fix diets because you will end up being hungry for most of the day and you don't want your stomach growling during class or work.
If you follow any diet plan and stick to it you will be surprised at the weight you will lose.
My Weight Loss Regimen + Products I Loved During My "Lose My Muffin Top" Challenge
So far i have lost 26kg (57 pounds) in 6 months but need to loose more quickly in the next month. I am doing the tony ferguson diet, drinking 2 litres of water a day, taking supplements and exercising (eg 36km on the exercise bike yesterday and 2 hours of steps today etc).

That is really impressive weight loss so very well done. However, I understand your need to lose lots of weight for your special day. For this reason I would recommend a fairly extreme diet. I say this because it allows you to lose as much weight as you want in a very short space of time and then after your wedding you could simply work on maintaining that weight ( some people even gain some back if they only care about the day specifically - whatever works for you ). You may even find you lose enough weight in a couple of weeks in which case you can just maintain it until your wedding. On the diet I will recommend you will most likely lose about 1-2 stone (6-12kg) every 2 weeks.
If this sounds good to you, I would recommend something called a 'PSMF' ( protein sparing modified fast). Essentially it is a low carb diet but fats are also low so that calories are as low as possible ( therefore maximum weight loss) but nutrient are kept high so that it is healthy and stops your metabolism crashing like other extreme diets.
Eat 4 meals of good lean protein sources with vegetables eg tuna salad with low calorie Caesar dressing or chicken with green beans etc. Then you could have sugar free jelly or something. One important thing will be to reduce your exercise on such an extreme diet or your metabolism will crash much faster. 30 mins light walking per day is plenty. In addition take a multivitamin and some sodium ( add some salt to your meals) as these are missing on any low carb diet. That's the very basics. There is no site specific way of losing fat... the old myth about working your abs to burn belly fat isn't true. To get rid of love handles, you need to lose overall fat. That happens with exercise and watching your diet. More on that below.
The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.
Another overlooked way to burn fat is by lifting weights. Skeletal muscle has very high caloric needs... almost twice that of adipose (fat) tissue. Put on a little muscle and you will burn calories all day even at rest. Be aware that skeletal muscle weighs more, so with this approach you may see your weight increasing while your body fat is melting away. Not realizing this often stresses folks who think they should be losing weight as a measure of fitness. Forget the scale, look in the mirror and you will be happy.
For diet, keep a diary for a couple of weeks counting calories, grams of protein, and grams of fat intake. It is easy with online sources of nutritional information (type the name of the food and calories into the Google search engine) and packaging labels. That will let you quickly figure out where the fat is coming from in your diet.
Fat gives you 9 calories per gram. So take the number of grams of fat, multiply by 9, then calculate what percentage the fat calories are of your total daily calories. Restricting the calories from fat to about 20% of your total intake is ideal for a maintenance diet... that isn't overly restrictive. Of note, you need some fat in your diet. For instance, the body uses fat to produce hormones. Once you have a picture of how to modify your diet, you can drop the diary and just go back to it occasionally if you are wanting to tweek things further.
There is a subset of questions that goes further and asks about "How to get a six-pack?" The answer is the same. Six-packs are 20% abdominal exercise and 80% diet. There is one caveat... abdominal muscles will form in the position that you exercise them, so be certain to pull them tightly toward your spine while doing crunches, etc. Also, during most lifting, the "core is active" which means that you should be stabilizing with contracted abs then too. Fail to do this and the abs will form, but bulging outward and the result is not attractive.
If you are trying to build muscle as a way to lose fat, then you may need to increase total calories and specifically your protein intake. I target about 0.8 g of protein per pound of body weight each day when actively building. That is far more protein than most people need in their diets.

what is a good weight loss program that really works?

my aunt lost 80 pounds just by cutting out all sugar and junk food and drinking 8-10 cups of water a day. it really worked and i'm guessing you could speed it up with a bit of exercise. i also know lots of ppl that combine this with counting calories. I just talked to one of the guys on this program and he said he had lost 12 pounds in one week.

Another running question pertaining to calf pain!?
Ok, on Sunday night I started running. To start off I jogged 16 times around the track, stopping each round for no more than a minute for a breather and drink of water. I thought I did surprisingly well considering my size (5'6 bodybuilder type, a very nice 180 lbs.) So I let my body heal for a couple of days and when I returned to the track last night I thought I'd kick it up a notch and go around by twos before taking a little time out... It was like somebody had blood pressure pumps around my calfs! I could only go around 5 times and had to stop. It was that bad. I am well winded, but the calf pain was unreal; more extreme than any weight training thats for sure. So many articles are out there in regards to running for weight loss and the pictures always show a skinny person that can run forever (much respect). I need a running program that takes my weight training and size into consideration. Help please!
P.S- My body is not stiff by any means. I train in taekwondo.
Make sure to stretch calves, quads, hamstrings, etc. before and after you run. Hold each stretch for at least 10 seconds (the way you are describing things, I would hold them for more like 20) and do not bounce! If you bounce, it will damage your muscles. Any weight loss plans of your own that have worked for you?
I'm 16 and have been over weight since I was about 12.
I've tried weight watchers, curves, etc.
My thing is once it starts to get boring, I sort of lose interest in all of it.

i know it's overused but exercise(i'm on 12-18 hrs/week but you don't really need that much...you only need about 30 minutes each day) and a sensible diet(i've been a vegetarian for years, if you aren't you could try it out). as long as you are not cutting any foods totally away from your diet(ie. carbs, fats, etc) just make sure you eat plenty of vegetables and fruits, whole grains(good carbs), and everything you want, as long as you do it in small portions.

I have been exercising 4 times a week at a place that is similar to curves called Butterfly Life. I feel great from exercising, but I am not losing any weight. I know muscle weighs more than fat, but I really need to start eating healthier. There are some Quick Weight Loss places around here, but I really don't have the extra money get into it. Ok first...helpful answers are appreciated. I've gained at least 60 lbs in the last 2 years. Ewww. I was an "average" size about 8 years ago. Then I dropped a bunch of weight and was LOVING it. Then my life had some upsets and I gained it back plus MORE. EWW! I HATE IT!
For the last 2 weeks I've been restricting calories like mad, being more active, chain smoking, drinking my weight in diet coke, and decongestants help ( for some reason it helped the early hunger pangs. ) I've lost about 5 lbs. Big Weight Loss?
About two years ago I weighed 375 lbs (I'm 5'5" tall). Through perserverance and lots (and lots!) of exercise I was able to lose 225 lbs. I feel great. My girlfriend isn't quite as happy, however. She feels that I've done this to "show her up" (she's been dieting forever without a whole lot of luck). Did I show her up? Does this make me a bad person? Should I put on an extra 50 lbs. to make her feel better?

Has anyone lost weight when taking a birth control pill? If so, which pill & how much weight loss?
I'm very knowledgeable about birth control, about how each pill has different hormone levels and so does each person - so the side effects are different from person to person.
I'm not looking for a lecture or to be told that I should ask my doctor which pill is best for me.
I just want to know if there's any coincidence between people losing weight while on the pill - and which pill they were taking.
