Why people with cirrhosis (or any other damaged liver disease) at risk for diabetes?
I understand why would be exposed the risk of hypoglycemia (b / c if the liver is damaged, you can not store glycogen ).... for diabetes, but was not why. Is it because, since the liver can not store excess glucose, the body of sugars have no place to go when a person has excessive consumption of sugars, and therefore are at risk of diabetes?
