recent diabetes trials

Phase I trial of Proleukin and Rapamune in recent onset type 1 diabetes?

Does anyone know anything? My husband flew to Seattle for testing on Monday and I'm very nervous. Has anyone been involved in diabetes research? He was diagnosed 2 weeks before his 21st birthday. The study has anyone who has had type 1 diabetes 4 years, and has been for almost 3. I researched these drugs and they are really heavy! He feels it is his role that can contribute to diabetes research, and hopefully find a cure:)

Wow. Most people diagnosed with Type I diabetes 21 or less. I guess her husband is more than 21 years that is more rare. Good luck with the trial. This is serious, hard drugs given to him. I hope that works and islet cells remain intact.
