Taking Metformin is interesting to go through all the side effects of diabetes?

I was wondering if you have received metformin if you think dollars is through all the side effects you have. I take it once daily before dinner @ 500mg. Now, I have headaches, stomach aches all the time and I have diarrhea. Do you have any of these symptoms and believe that metformin is worth?
