This proved a very difficult thing to do, there are several websites that give away a glucose meter free, but I can not seem to find someone to make a gift of free test strips. I am an insulin dependent diabetic, I take two shots a day. I was diagnosed when he was 16 years and then I had Medicaid, I live in Arkansas, and was told that after turning 19, so I was not pregnant when I was for medical purposes. I am currently unemployed due to diabetes and have had difficulties with the bands, if anyone knows of something that could help would be eternally grateful. Thanks

Have you asked your doctor? I work in a family medicine clinic and representatives of several companies offering free diabetic meters glucose test strips. Usually we are offered to help newly diagnosed patients to start, but, to our office, always bring back patients as you (no money, no insurance). Check first if you can not help, try a local clinic. If all else fails, ask your DR provider is EPR and try to contact him / her in the free bands. Most representatives are very understanding and try to get some "samples" boxes! Good lucky!
