What should I do with my type 1 diabetes and swollen ankles?
I hope some advice from someone in a medical profession or someone it is already here ... I have had type 1 diabetes for about 17 years. I use an insulin pump and insulin Humalog. I had problems with ankles and feet swollen, but my Laboratory tests are the most recent normal income. There is no kidney problems, thyroid problem. No pain, just a lot of trouble and situations embarrassment caused by my legs. I'm only 25 and I feel as if my legs were a little old lady (no offense to any old ladies out there). I drink lots of water, but could not certainly be more excercise ... Help me out! Thank you! Thanks for all your answers ... Perhaps my next doctor visit, I wonder about the drugs or if I should wear stockings. Than I mentioned this problem before, my endocrinologist, and that just kind of tell me that is a nuisance and does not recommend anything at all.
Hey hun, type 1 diabetes for 20 years here in an insulin pump. I feel too swollen ankles and legs from time to time, especially when my period is coming around .... tell Tell your doctor about this request for 7 to prescribe a diuretic ... I take extra potassium Lasix wa have when I take the Lasix. It works very well .... also very fast and only be prepared to urinate a lot! LOL especially since you say you drink a lot of Water from the best of luck ♥ ♥ by the way your water withdrawn quite normal for a diabetic, due to many complications and poor circulation
