diabetes prognosis

Prognosis for diabetes ...?

I recently discovered that this guy has diabetes and I makes me think ... What is the prognosis for a teenager with type 1 diabetes? Im not really sure what prediction means lol. but what I meant was how long would it take to live?

The prognosis is he will still have diabetes in however many years ... unless they find a cure. Edit: I'm glad you added comment further as I thought you might not have used the correct term. Prognosis of this basically means that the prospects or predicting the probable course and outcome of disease would be. If the type of control of his diabetes, which means retains its rate of blood glucose (sugar) as near 'normal' as possible ... forever, not just occasionally, he will live a long and happy life without complication. It has the fortunate to have found someone who cares enough to ask something about what his condition entails. Be well ... you both.
