Plan UK government for people to become vegetarians or vegans ...?
Something I read today in the magazine: An official of the Agency the Environment, an adviser to the British Government intends to encourage the British to stop eating meat through a "sea change" to avoid a risk of "alienating the public." The reasons for this policy have been sympathetic to the environmental benefits of a mass switch to a vegan diet and the ground that could make a significant contribution to tackling climate change - "The potential benefits of a vegan diet in terms of climate impact could be very important. "They also assume a reduction in costs to the NHS, particularly with an aging population - such as cases of disease heart disease, diabetes, etc, would be mitigated. Also added was "certainly encouraging people to examine their consumption of animal protein may be a key message. "This is a surprising and bold proposal of a government agency. I wonder how a policy can be implemented gradually and popularized. What you think?
A government might try to establish heavy taxes on land used for farm animals in the name of harm to the surrounding ecosystem. Idea simple and could probably brainstorm a little more, but I'm burnt tonite =). Let me move to the UK as soon .. I bet that the UK would an increase in incoming pair of millions of Americans who have never initiated an ongoing proposal ..
