My son has type 2 diabetes and was just diagnosed?

Your insulin is most likely due to insulin resistance is still high. Metformin can only contribute to the issue of resistance. Insulin production is triggered by hyperglycemia and metformin can only help to sugar down, no insulin. Once the blood sugar is falling, insulin levels remain naturally.
