Staying active and healthy despite the hypertension and diabetes?

I'm 56 years old, currently on medication for the hypertension and diabetes. I'm still working, but the job is quite stressful and considered resigning. Any advice?

You should start walking away. Regular walking, 2-3 miles every day is a long way in reducing weight, decreased BP, and perhaps healing effects of diabetes. Get on foot. Many walk. Walk as much as possible. It will be much more fit and healthy in a few months.
