How should pay me to care for the elderly after surgery?
I start taking care of my father in law of mother next week after his surgery. She enphsema clogged arteries and diabetes undergoing cardiac surgery increased. They pay for my gas and 125 dollars a week for 5 days, 8 hours a day and I just wanted to know if thats reasonable.
The rate will be home health aide is $ 7/hour. 5 times 8 is 40. 40 hours x $ 7 = $ 280 per week. Someone - a "friend" - would pull the same bull *** on me a few years ago because I knew I was in desperate need of money. I told him to find someone else. $ 125 per week is well below the minimum wage. It's illegal. Only the "family" (and "friends") would try something. Say no. Good luck.
