What is the severity of diabetes in dogs?
I have an almost 8 years, male Lhasa Apso. and HES had cysts on his body almost all his life .. hes bent a little withdrawn, but still ... hes a very smart dog. he knows when he has to piss or shit barks ... and HES recently did this for years.anyway theres been a lot of pee .... in our house, and we blame our other dog .... but yesterday I saw my dog pee right in front of me my room ... when my father brought to the vet thinking he had a problem urinating or bladder bc its difference from him .. and the doctor told me hes Dialated his pee looked to run the tests, but he said he may have diabetes ... How serious is Diabetes? dogs?
It's very serious. Diabetes can cause many of the same problems are seen in people. Symptoms may be mild (frequent urination, increased thirst, fatigue) due to convulsions, coma and even death.

If left untreated, the condition can lead to cataracts, increasing weakness in the legs (neuropathy), malnutrition, ketoacidosis, dehydration, and death.
