Moving to Australia .... Advice and help please?

Well, I'm from Lancashire in England, me and my boyfriend really want to live in Australia to see if we like to live in perpetuity for 6 months - 12mnth but have no idea about anything, lol, First, the amount of savings we need for the trip? I have diabetes and take 4 shots Aday, Will this in any way go against me? How Can I get my medication right? We both have a job I am a hairdresser and my partner is a welder, be able to find a job?
